Partner

Mark is a founding Partner of Petrie Mayman Clark, with over 30 years experience in Commercial Law, Residential and Rural Conveyancing, Wills and Family Trusts.

Mark obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Otago University in 1972, and achieved the distinction of being appointed as a Notary Public in May 2001.

Mark is currently Chairperson of the South Canterbury Property Lawyers’ Group and Chairperson of the Timaru Boys High School Development Trust.

WAYNE van VUUREN

Partner

Wayne Van VuurenWayne joined Petrie Mayman Clark in 1996 and became a Partner in 2002. Wayne is a general practitioner. While he now is primarily engaged in Commercial Law, Trusts and Conveyancing matters, Wayne also provides services to a well established Criminal, Civil Litigation and Youth Court client base.

Wayne graduated from Canterbury University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Wayne is involved in a wide range of community activities including as Board Member of the Victoria Trust, South Canterbury Basketball Association, and South Canterbury Club.  He is also honorary solicitor for various local organisations, and a former Council member of the Canterbury District Law Society (2003-2010).

TERESA LAWRENCE

Teresa LawrenceTeresa joined the firm in 2005, and become a Partner in June 2010.

Originally from Nelson, Teresa came to South Canterbury soon after completing her Law Degree with Honours at Canterbury University. Teresa also has qualifications in Business Studies and Marketing.

Teresa has particular expertise in Family Law, including Relationship Property, Care of Children, and Domestic Violence matters. She is a Court-appointed Youth Court Advocate and Lawyer for Child, as well as being a LEADR-accredited mediator.

Michael MaymanMichael continues his association as the firm’s consultant with over 40 years experience in Residential and Rural Conveyancing, Family Trusts, Wills and Powers of Attorney and Commercial Law.

Originally from Nelson, Nina completed a double degree in Law and Commerce at Canterbury University in 2000.

Christie O'DriscollChristie first joined Petrie Mayman Clark in March 2003, initially as a Law Clerk. After completing her professional qualifications, she commenced as a Staff Solicitor in September 2003. Raised in Timaru, Christie attended Otago University to complete her law degree.

Christie is a general practitioner specialising primarily in the Criminal Law area. She also provides services in Family Law including Parenting, Relationship Property and Domestic Violence, and Employment matters
